Comprehensive Treatment

Established behavioral and educational interventions provide a structured process to replace a child’s challenging behaviors with more acceptable means of communication. These new skills help the child become successfully integrated into family life, school, and community settings.

Individualized & Intensive

This intensive treatment uses the evidence-based methods of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Training for parents, professionals, and others involved is a major component of the program and helps the child generalize acquired skills and behaviors beyond the individual interventions.

Steps of the Process:

  • Assessment:
The behavior analyst begins the process by conducting a functional behavior assessment involving parent interviews, observations, hands-on sessions with the child, and records review.

  • Development of Individual Treatment Plan:
Based on assessment information, a treatment plan is developed to address the child’s specific needs. Goals are designed to build skills such as flexibility when faced with changes, effective communication, social engagement, imaginative play, and early academic skills.

  • Implementation of the Plan:
Once the plan is completed, the behavior analyst begins implementation in collaboration with the parents and others involved with the child. The behavior analyst conducts 1:1 sessions at the child’s home and in community settings. The behavior analyst’s level of support is based on the child’s needs and the desires of the family. Through a systematic process, the intensity of the intervention is gradually faded as the child progresses.
